DSD at SNP gotta earn the kit...gotta earn the kit...gotta earn the kit...

It's the second anniversary at SNP and it's DSD weekend! Can I get a WHOOT?!! They have planned a super fun weekend for you! The customers and designers are some of the best people in digi and we are so very excited to have each of you actively involved in our community! You have no idea how you've touched our lives and how much we enjoy chatting with you and looking at your layouts. There is something wonderful about SNP. It's the friendships we create. It's the way our stories intertwine with those of the people we've never met in real life. It's people from all over the world uniting in this wonderful way that helps us to capture those small moments in time that make up the stories of our lives. Nowhere else can you find such an awesome group of people who work and create so closely to build such an amazing community for all of us to feel at home in. This weekend we are celebrating each and every one of you be{You}tiful people. The challenges and chats are centered around getting to know you better. We hope you'll join us this weekend as we strengthen our friendships and our community. I'm sure there will be a lot of laughter and of course they've created a Be{You}tiful collection of goodies for you that you won't want to miss. There is a fabulous facebook hop where you can collect 25 be{You}tiful templates and they wouldn't dare celebrate their anniversary or DSD without an awesome store wide sale! There will be 3 live events each day (with the exception of Thursday when there will be only 1) where we can meet in the chat room and get a little crazy (or a lot crazy for some of us...but I'm not naming any names!). There will be prizes awarded at each live event so be sure to be there on time! We'll also have 2 challenges for you each day where you can earn the pieces to a HUGE collab (We're talking 96 Papers, 82 Journal Cards, 190 Ellies and a full alpha!!)! Warrior Princess and a Freebie

I knew just the picture to use when I saw this kit--I hope you like how it turned out.  It was kind of fun using a princess kit without using any elements in a "girly" way.  The kit is Warrior Princess by Mommy Made This and you can get it at Scraps N Pieces.

Tower Princess

It's been a crazy week, so I'm a bit late posting, but here is Tower Princess from Mommy Made This:

and Memories by Digital Designs templates to go with it.  These were perfect for the pictures I was using.  I tried to find some templates from my stash and had a terrible time getting my pages done.  Then I downloaded this set and they were just what I needed.  Of course, then I spent too much time playing around with the elements on my layout--but it was fun!

Arabian Princess & a freebie

I have really slacked off on my scrapbooking this year, but I did a couple last week using the new kit "Arabian Princess" by Mommy Made This--on sale right now HERE at Scraps N Pieces.

For the first one, I also used one of Memories by Digital Designs' Arabian Princess templates.  I hope nobody thinks it's too weird that I put my nieces' photos next to a tiger, but I figured the date & place were enough to explain that!

For this one, I wanted to do a simple page that would be good for anything--I was thinking "paper stacker."  Then I remembered that it has been a looong time since I did any challenges over at SNP so I thought I'd pick one of them.  It's a bit generic, but I had no internet that night and couldn't remember what all my choices were...

AND I saved the cluster for you, too.  I decided to take it off the "page starter" since probably most people don't have a big aqua-green dinosaur photo to use with it. :)

Another Princess of the Month kit from Mommy Made This--Bayou Princess.  I love the greens and blues--perfect for boy pages, too!  The purple is such a pretty highlight and, in my opinion, you can never go wrong with brown.  Don't you just love the little firefly who will blend right into the leaves?You can pick it up at Scraps N Pieces.  Here's what you get in the kit:

I just finished the Designer Mentoring Class at Scraps N Pieces (again.)  So now I get to show everybody what I made and how you can download it.  Not only that, but there were SEVEN teams, so there is a lot more you can get--all for FREE!  (You will need to register at the SNP forum if you're not a member already.  They promise to get right on it so new people won't have to wait long.)

So, here's my part of the team kit.  Our Theme was "It's a Girl Thing."  At first, we all thought of chocolate and treats when we saw the rich brown color in the palette, but nobody seems to have gone that way with their designs.  I hope you like it and can find something you want to use.

Snow White & a freebie

Snow White is the newest kit from Mommy Made This's Princess of the Month line.  These bright primary colors are so versatile for almost any kid pictures.  I was afraid of using red, but the woodsy style is just cute.  I've made a frame cluster just for you!  (See below.)
